JJ Rods LLC is proud to offer this unique no expense spared 1959 Rambler. It could possibly be the nicest one in the country.
This custom is a rotisserie build designed by Jeff Allison Design. Powered by a Corvette 350 CI LT1 V-8 and 4L60E auto transmission. 3.73 GM 8.5 inch rear end with Chevrolet S-10 front suspension. Spohn tubular control arms with front air ride.
The interior is is finished in gray Katzin leather with bucket Trans Am seats and SSR door panels, keyless ignition with push button start. Leather wrapped steering wheel with custom horn button. Speed Hut GPS speedometer and tachometer. Unique one piece fiberglass headliner. Equipped with air conditioning, heat and defrost with controls accessed by flip down dash panel. Custom fiberglass console coated with Alsa’s “Soft Touch” coating. Air bags are controlled on passenger side by Dakota Digital joystick IR photocell sensors to limit air ride height. Drivers side there is a Dakota digital joystick reading oil temp, fuel pressure, water temp, volt readout.
The body is where we take this Rambler to a true one of a kind custom. Finished in Southern polyurethane bright orange with black roof and tailgate with 9 coats of clear! Custom recessed grille mesh – the original two piece tailgate was replaced with custom one piece unit. Drivers tail light swings open for fuel fill. Custom handmade blade bumpers were installed. Front and rear custom roll pans were manufactured with all drip rails removed. 1950 Pontiac tail lights and dodge Durango driving lights. Functional air scoop with water trap.
The undercarriage you will find Jet Coated exhaust with Flowmaster Hushpower mufflers with resonators. Two Piston Blazer front disc brakes and 1LE Camaro rear disc brakes with Wilwood master cylinder supply plenty of stopping power. Quick ratio steering box and front and rear sway bars. Riding on Boyd Coddington 17 and 18 inch Magnum wheels with custom center caps.
